Gretchen of Gretch-A-Sketch, today's "G"-named NaBloPoMo blog, is tackling her month o' posting with a familiar strategy: Using the alphabet a means of inspiration and a way to keep her on track. It seems to be working for her, and it's working for me, too, except when I almost forgot Friday. And when I almost forgot today. (Though if you're thinking I did forget yesterday, nope! I rounded up the top 7 worst movie birthdays ever
over our List of the Day blog. Phew, right?)
This month, Gretchen is using each letter of the alphabet to explain an
important moment or element of her life: "D is for Denver, John," "F
is for Fruit Roll Up," etc. And first line of her "H" post today is probably
the funniest single sentence I've come across during my whole
PaMaDoCoBloNaBloPoMoMo thus far: "Maybe inviting a boy to go hot air
ballooning with my family for our second date wasn't my brightest idea,
but it sounded like fun at the time, okay?"
I've clicked through quite a few tediously personal blogs in the one
week I've been at this so far, so moments of disarming delightfulness
like that are becoming ever more appreciated as the daily blogging
rolls on. This week: Expanded thoughts on this and more as
PaMaDoCoBloNaBloPoMo (hopefully) continues.
