Howdy,
I’ve never done this kind of thing before. Feels pretty strange, but here we go. So my record, The Brag & Cuss, came out yesterday, and I’ve been getting ready for this string of shows for a while. The boys flew in four days ago and we’ve been practicing our asses off since then. My entire band is from Denver. Dave Barker is playing drums for me now full time. He’s the one with the “Kentucky Waterfall,” or for those of you who don’t call it that, a badass mullet. Spacey Casey is playing pedal steel and B-Bender Tele with me, and Chad Price is playing bass and singing back-up. These guys are all amazing players and it’s definitely one of the most-solid line-ups I’ve ever played with. The songs from the new record come across really well with this instrumentation and I’m really looking forward to playing these shows with a full band.
Today was the first “show,” a live on-air performance on KEXP 90.3FM here in Seattle. It was a blast as always. Above is a picture of us with John Richards. In my opinion, he is the coolest man in the radio business. After the radio show I went to Liberty Tattoo and my buddy Matt spent four hours putting a killer tattoo on the inside of my left forearm. Probably not the best idea right before doing a bunch of traveling, but f– it. I think it came out great and it was definitely worth it.
Tomorrow is the CD-release show at the Triple Door. Should be a good time. I’ll let you know how it goes.
xoxo,
Rocky

Rocky,
Don’t take this the wrong way, but you seem like your trying a little too hard.
In fact, at the Hell’s Kitchen you seemed...hmm, I don’t know...stupid.
Sure, I know your a great guy and everything but please...just tone it down, you don’t need to say Motherfucker every other word...or keep doing it, it was some of the best unintentional comedy I’ve seen in a while.
I don’t agree..
