So I’m back at home now. When we were booking these dates we decided to take the week of the 4th off. I got to blow some shit up yesterday with my son. :) Although, at one point we found ourselves running for cover behind a giant swimming pool from a sea of rockets gone crazy. Never light three rockets at the same time on an uneven surface because sometimes they fall over and come shooting right at you. We came out unscathed and ready to spend the rest of the evening inside with the dogs.
The show in NYC at the Bowery and in Philly at the First Unitarian Church were killer. Thanks to everyone for coming out and showing your support. Dave got a nice big Western Meadow Lark tattooed on his chest during our day off in Rhode Island. A little memento from the trip - here’s a picture of Dave’s new bird tattoo and The Owl just looking like the bird that he is.
I’’ll touch base again after the next leg of the tour starts up in San Deigo (a whale’s vagina) on the 10th.
See ya then,
Rocky

I hope this tour won’t last forever. All these tattoos on day offs… you’ll come out like Biohazard. Then again, I hope this tour will last forever… or at least until you have something interesting to write about. And if not, try writing interestingly…
This is a really sweet idea of blogging your travels man...though it does make me wish that I was back out in the U.S. I live in the U.K., but managed to see you last Winter supporting Lucero. It was an amazing show.
So, on this topic of tattoos, I’ve always wondered what the inspiration was for the Waxwing logo/your tattoo. It’s a superb design. Did you design it, or is if taken from somewhere?
Best.
