A day off in a fine town.
We all meet Alyson West of Ravenhouse Management for lunch and then go
check out her and boyfriend Glenn's house. Their place is tucked deep
into a wooded area. Leaves are turning color and falling everywhere. We
never have this in Tucson so we relish in the crumple and crunch
underfoot.
On the way back we stop at Foster's Market
for supplies. Next door to the hotel our friend Ryan Richardson of
Kingsbury Manx works at CD Alley, so we stop in to see what's up.
Martin and Jacob score some new CDs. Great store, tons of vinyl and
CDs. Later that night we eat at the super fine Lantern restaurant. Great wines, appetizers and food. We are blown away.
The
show at Cat's Cradle is a good one. Great crowd and some relatives of
mine drive in from Richmond to see the show as well as friends I met at
the West End wine bar. Afterwards we convene for a birthday celebration
for our merch girl, Karin Sung. The night belongs to Champagne and
Sugarland! She is showered with flowers, gifts and a massive stuffed pink pig. Gotta love those truckstop gift shops.
