ZACK AND MIRI MAKE A PORNO

Kevin Smith's new film Zack and Miri Make A Porno may not be your typical Fantastic Fest film but I gotta say that as an opening film it was a pretty fantastic idea. My review will be on the Paste site in late October but I will say that I enjoyed it in spite of some big gross-out scenes involving defecation and downright perversion. But, hey, they're making porno.

Highlights

- Justin Long (that Mac guy) as a gay porn star

- Brandan Routh (that Superman guy) as the gay porn star's lover

- Jason Mewes (Clerks, Clerks II) regrettably baring it all and giving his all, sometimes to real-life porn star Katie Morgan

- Seth Rogen, as Zach, explaining the value of selling porn to Miri (Elizabeth Banks) and actually making sense
