This fantastic 2009 calendar, which Mibo is offering as a free download for anyone who signs up for their e-mail newsletter, is a sight for sore eyes. Mine, in particular.

All 2008, I've been using the same tiny, grainy, all-twelve-months-on-one-1/4-page printout from, uh, PrintableCalendar.ca (cringe) for my date-referencing needs. It's shamefully hideous and, even worse, almost completely illegible. Even still, just last week I printed out another for the quickly-approaching 2009, but I'm ditching it as soon as I get a chance to print out this wonderful birdy thing. The design for June, shown above, is my favorite.

If you've a bit more cash to drop than I do, I suggest this hand-lettered, letterpress calendar by Linda & Harriet. The colors, repeating nature patterns (look at August's seahorses!) and texture are just beautiful.

But really, even one of those Kuddly Kittens 16-month things from the Target dollar bin would be preferable to this mess, wouldn't it?
