Musicians are coming together in New Orleans at Mardi Gras River City this Sunday, May 16, to raise money to help mitigate some of the myriad problems caused by the oil spill in the Gulf of Mexico. Called Gulf-Aid, the show’s proceeds will go to local groups working to clean up the coasts and wetlands affected by the spill and to Gulf Coast fishermen and the damaged seafood industry.
Kravtiz will be joined by Mos Def, Ani DiFranco, legendary New Orleans musician Allen Toussaint, and the Preservation Hall Jazz Band. Tickets for the show are $50, and are available for purchase on Elevate.com.
