Eddy Current Suppression Ring - Primary Colours [Goner]This Aussie quartet has been making some serious noise Down Under for a few years now and causing a few underground publications in the U.S. to take notice. (Which is to say that if you're the kind of person prone to using the eBay search term "termbo," you probably already know about this band.) If I had to make up a ridiculous genre name for these guys, I'd call them slow-punk garagecore, but you can make up your own. The band's MySpace page has a couple good cuts that do ECSR decent justice, but the video below, featuring one of the best songs from Primary Colours, is a better introduction.

The Thomas Function album is my favorite of the year. It's incredible. The Black & Whites are not far behind.
I saw Justin Townes Earl perform live this summer, he was awesome. I love the album too.
