Thomas Function - Celebration [Alive]Josh Macero, lead singer of Alabama's Thomas Function, sports a yelp that falls somewhere between the frontmen of Pixies and Television, all desperation and wild-eyed abandon. Luckily, he's got a plucky young batch of dudes to back him up on guitar, bass, organ and drums. Celebration is the band's debut, and it's chock full of hook-laden tunes. Here's hoping these guys keep cranking them out.

The Thomas Function album is my favorite of the year. It's incredible. The Black & Whites are not far behind.
I saw Justin Townes Earl perform live this summer, he was awesome. I love the album too.
