"Baby You’re A Rich Man"
This song from Magical Mystery Tour is another true Lennon/McCartney collab, and you can really hear two distinct but complimentary musical styles at play. Originally, Lennon’s verse and McCartney’s chorus where two separate songs, but The Beatles fused them together, creating something far superior than the original parts.

"Things We Said Today" is a great selection. I'm a big believer in forgetting about Beatles 1 and the Red & Blue "greatest hits" collections and listening to The Beatles albums instead. If you get the original UK albums and add in Past Masters Vol 1 & 2 you really get it all.
i'm sorry but this is getting ridiculous. "I'm So Tired," and "Happiness is a Warm Gun," are CLASSIC Beatle tracks that anyone who's been listening to the band with any genuine interest would know.
If you're going choose songs so indiscriminately why not just call your column "The Coolest Beatle songs that I feel like writing about this morning."
hmmm... "Think for yourself" was always one of my least favorite beatle's songs. no offense to george.
"julia," "polythene pam" and "goodnight" should be on this list.
folks, I actually play all these songs....we've been a tribute band since John's death, and the one thing I know is....there are only two kinds of songs....the kind you like and the kind you don't...if you don't like this person's list of "faves", make your own list!!if it moves you, do it, if not move on....wwjd stands for "what would John do"...my kids know as much as any of you, and even they aren't silly enough to declare one (or ten) songs "the best"...here's another flash for you....the Beatles are/were a great country band...(I feel Fine"...Mike
