Kid Cudi is the latest protégé of Kanye West. West heard his mixtape, which featured his breakout single "Day 'n Nite," and signed him to his G.O.O.D. music label and asked him to guest on his 808's & Heartbreak track "Welcome to the Heartbreak." Cudi's slated to drop his debut album sometime this spring. If the smooth confidence of "Day 'n Nite" is any indication, Kid Cudi could be the biggest new name in hip hop in ages.
