Happy New Year! I hope you had a fun night with friends and family and slept in late this morning. New Year's Day is always kinda bittersweet for me--probably because I love eating collards and peas and thinking about the year ahead, but I hate taking down my Christmas decorations. Which always results in not preserving the garland bows and having to make new ones the next year.

Here's a list of resolutions from Paste staffers.

1. Nick Purdy, Publisher

I resolve to listen to some Who albums now that they received Kennedy Center Honors.

2. Steve LaBate, Associate Editor

Get rid of my entire CD collection, and replace with mp3-backed vinyl.

3. Palmer Houchins, Marketing Director

Donate to my public radio station.  1-2 hours of free listening every day has got me feeling guilty.  Especially after NPR axed two shows and laid off over 60 people before the holidays.

4. Jason Killingsworth, Deputy Editor

My new year's resolution is to be more emotionally available to the people on my Xbox Live friends list.

5. Rachael Maddux, Assistant Editor

Read more things on paper. In 2008, I read a lot of Internet, but not a lot of books.

6. Phillip Garrett, Web Architect

I resolve to eat at Taqueria del Sol just once (twice, at most) a week.

7. Nick Marino, Managing Editor

I resolve to eat lower on the food chain.

8. Kate Kiefer, Associate Editor

Clean out basement, cook dinner at least 3x a week, preserve the bows.

We wish you all a happy and healthy 2009 filled with good people and good records, movies, books and games. What are your resolutions? We want to know!
