List of the Day

Over the course of the last seven days, Atlanta rock 'n' roll documentary We Fun was available for viewing as Pitchfork TV's "One Week Only" feature. But fret not if you missed it; your friends at Paste are here to help. See below for merely 10 reasons why We Fun is worth 72 minutes of your life. And if you live in Oxford, Miss., be apprised that the film will be screening at The Lyric Theatre on June 1. More news is expected from the We Fun camp soon.

1. Carbonas' list of tour van do's and don't's
See if you can guess number three.

2. The significant camera time given to B Jay Womack (AKA: Bobby Ubangi)
Atlanta's rock scene today simply would not exist without him.

3. The reminder that Dave Rahn drums for every band in Atlanta
He's shown playing with no less than three groups before the doc even hits the halfway point.

4. The subtle Kenny Crucial cameo
No doubt that shot was intentional.

5. Deerhunter/Atlas Sound's Bradford Cox saying he was "expecting ponytails" and a "funk bar band" the first time he saw Black Lips
A hilarious anecdote.

6. Die Slaughterhaus head honcho Mark Nauman recounting his label's releases, in order, from a piece of lawn furniture
Comprehensive!

7. The Selmanaires chatting and performing
Nice to see the underrated group featured.

8. Black Lip Jared Swilley getting pissed at fellow Black Lip Cole Alexander for opening up a fire extinguisher in the middle of an Atlanta magazine photo shoot
Legitimately angry or putting on for the camera? Hard to say.

9. Learning that Mastodon a) almost went doom because of tequila and b) are goobers when they sit around and talk about nonsense
Most. Metal. Goobers. Ever.

10. The poignant, end-credits reading of a Moby Dick excerpt by Womack
Its themes of mortality were sadly more prophetic than anyone could have known at the time.
