Happy Father’s Day to all you dads out there! We're thankful to our own fathers for raising us to love music, so in honor of the holiday we asked them what they’ve been listening to lately. Here’s what our dads had to say:

Bruce Ray (Austin’s dad)

Frank Sinatra's Greatest Hits. Eagles Greatest Hits (1971-1975), Very Best of Rod Stewart, Greatest Hits of the 70's.”

Richard Jackson (Josh’s dad)

"The most memorable and emotional music I have heard lately was 24 notes played on a bugle. On June 6th, I was watching the 65th commemoration of D-Day. When Taps was played, it reminded me again of the sacrifice our Fathers and Grandfathers made storming the beaches in Normandy to help free the world of Nazi Fascism and of all of the sacrifices still being made today by our young men and women in service of our great country."

Kit Kiefer (Kate’s dad)

“The Redwalls - "Build a Bridge." The Redwalls bring a fresh new twist to a classic style of music. Lyrics make sense, harmonies are good, band is tight and not redundant. Reminiscent of Badfinger.”

Ralph Maddux (Rachael’s dad)

“Hackensaw Boys, The Avett Brothers, Gram Parsons, Nanci Griffith, The Rounders, Ray Wylie Hubbard, Old Crow Medicine Show, Robert Earl Keen. All are great songwriters. The Avetts, OC's and HB's have great energy. R W Hubbard, R E Keen and H Carll all have very unique voices. I dunno. I'm going to bed.”

Harry Papagan (Steve Thorson’s stepdad)

“Blind Pilot, Syd, Iggy Pop's Preliminaires, Diana  Krall.”

Jack LaBate (Steve’s dad)

"Is this for real? I still listen to oldies on 107.6. Or is it 106.7? I like some of the country songs with a nice love story. And I still have an ear for jazz.  I like soft rock.  I do not like hard rock and rap. When I listen to something I want to relax and enjoy it and most of all I want to hear the words, with the music in the background. My all-time favorite album is Chet Baker with Strings, especially his rendition of 'I Love You.' Anything by Ella Fitzgerald and Frank Sinatra. Mario Lanza's Student Prince album is great and so is Andrea Bocelli's Romanza. Some other favorite singers are Billie Holiday, Dinah Washington, Ray Charles, Tony Bennett and, yes, even Dean Martin. Other favorite jazz artists are Zoot Sims, Ahmad Jamal and Lionel Hampton. Also love George Shearing's 'Autumn in New York,' and lastly but not least, Mel Torme. And Garth Brooks 'If Tomorrow Never Comes.'"

John Purdy (Nick’s dad)

"A TV show:  AMC U. S. Marshals - background while I was doing eMail. I was just listening to Live 365, 'Canuckteach Crooners.'"

Donald Garrett (Philip’s dad)

"I am listening to the lush choral music of composer, Eric Whitacre. I am especially enjoying the selection named, "Sleep." The voices in the choir are so perfect that it sounds like a string orchestra! Although Whitacre is an American, this album is recorded by an English group called "Polyphony."  Probably the most perfect singing I have ever heard (and I am a trained musician)."

Keith Keller (Kevin’s dad)

“Chicago - Chicago (aka Chicago II) I love all of the orchestration. It just never gets old. Crosby Stills and Nash - The Expanded  Re-Released 1st Album. No, it doesn't have anything to do with the mustache. Frank Sinatra - Songs for Swingin' Lovers! That guy was all class."
