Ten Television Commercials Featuring Voiceovers by Famous Actors

For those of us who still don’t have TiVo or a DVR (And there are dozens of us!), our television-watching habits naturally include some commercial viewing. And occasionally, a disembodied voice emanates from the screen that is so familiar, it drives you crazy until you are able to place it. Here, we identify 10 commercials featuring voiceovers by famous actors, to ease your no-doubt frustrated mind.

10. Lauren Bacall – Fancy Feast
This classic Hollywood icon leant her husky, upper-crust accent to the cat food company’s commercials all throughout the 1990s.

9. Tim Allen – Pure Michigan
The Michigan native and Home Improvement star can be heard on a series of ads enticing you to visit his home state.

8. Zach Braff – Cottonelle toilet paper
Goofy J.D. from Scrubs seems to fit as the voice of a floppy-eared Labrador puppy.

7. Lauren Graham – Special K
Lorelai Gilmore’s upbeat voice is the helpful girlfriend trying to get you into your skinny jeans.

6. Allison Janney – Kaiser Permanente
The voice of the indie actress, who also made one heck of a White House Press Secretary, is used in an unlikely place: selling the services of a big health care company.
