Yesterday, we looked at 10 Indie Films We’re Looking Forward to This Summer. But there’s also plenty of summer fun at the megaplex. Iron Man 2 kicks off Hollywood’s biggest season a little early this year. These might not be the biggest films of the summer, but they’re the potential blockbusters we have the highest hopes for.

1. Robin Hood
Release Date: May 14
Director: Ridley Scott
Starring: Russell Crowe
Studio: Universal
Our tolerance for more Robin Hood would have been tested if this wasn’t a Ridley Scott film with Cate Blanchett as Maid Marion. We have a feeling about how this one might end, though.

Fab list!
Personally I'm more an an indie filmhead but some of these look pretty wicked as far as Blockbusters go. Not a big fan of Cruise generally but Knight and Day looks like he's rocking the same sense of humour he dsiplayed in Tropic Thunder. The Expendables looks like cheap cheese but hell, with a cast like that you can't not see it. Even the Governor himself for a cameo! Speaking of Dom Monaghan, he played the same role in an episode of Chuck s2 as well in '09. Also on the pro side for Splice is the fact that Vincenzo Natali brought us the lofi scifi gem Cube. Inception seems worth a look and to end? Scott Pilgrim FTW! Edgar Wright is the man.
So yeah, nice call IMO.
Yay, guys! I heard premiere on Thursday in NYC Miami and Detroit. Never miss this Get Him to the Greek, Russell Brand, P. Diddy and Jonah Hill will surely give you a super fun life. ;)
