Here at Paste, we’re quite fond stuff that falls into the category of “so bad it’s good.” There’s Street Fighter 2, Troll 2, a whole slew of other horror movies and all these awful TV dads, among so many other terribly wonderful things. So it’s surprising that we’d never heard of the Museum of Bad Art until our intern Sean Doyle tipped us off to it last week. Housed in the basement of an old movie theater in Somerville, Mass., the museum is staffed by a team of volunteers dedicated to collecting, restoring and displaying some of the most horrible manifestations of human creativity ever committed to canvas. Some works are signed, others are anonymous and all of them are largely inexplicable. And, duh, we are in love! Here are fifteen of our favorites from the museum’s collection. Follow the link below each picture for more information (and sometimes even a chance to purchase a copy for your very own). Note: Some images may contain nudity. Uh, kinda.

i love MOBA! the commentary displayed alongside the art makes the whole exhibit exponentially more brilliant. a lot of the art is also at moba's other location in dedham, ma.
The key to making bad art is including animal imagery, apparently.
