If you’re like us and can’t get enough of Don Draper and Co., you’re probably used to spending your Monday mornings reliving the previous night’s Mad Men.
Sadly, season four wrapped up last week. Thus, to stave off your (and by “your,” we mean “our”) Mad Men cravings, we’ve compiled a list of our 10 favorite moments from last season. Warning, in case you’ve got a couple unwatched episodes sitting on your DVR: spoilers ahead.
10. Miss Blankenship’s death
We’d write an essay on how the elderly secretary’s death is symbolic of the growing women’s rights movement at the time, but Gawker already did that. Instead, we’ll just say we’ll miss you, Miss Blankenship.
9. Pete puts Ken in his place

Just when things were finally going well for Pete, Lane tells him they’re hiring his old rival Ken Cosgrove. In classic Pete fashion, he schedules a meeting with Ken to assert his dominance, saying, “Things have changed in a permanent way. I need to know you can do as told.” Ken laughs, Pete gives him that stone-cold look above, Ken drops the smile and nods. Score one for Mr. Campbell!
8. Joan and Peggy reacting to Don’s engagement
This scene from the season finale saw Joan and Peggy saying what we all were thinking: “What the hell was that?!?” Aside from voicing all of our concerns, it was nice to see Joan (who’s lorded over Peggy for three-plus seasons) and Peggy (who’s constantly sought Joan’s approval) laughing, smoking and gossiping like old chums.
7. Don’s second interview
The season opened with Don struggling to answer a reporter’s query: “Who is Don Draper?” After his modesty costs the company an account, he schedules a new interview and arrogantly talks himself up. As the eerily fitting “Tobacco Road” plays in the background, we get a preview of the dark side of Don Draper that would come to dominate this season.
6. Sally’s tantrum
It was a big season for little Sally Draper. She cut her hair, ruined Thanksgiving dinner and wound up in therapy, but it was the tantrum she threw after being forced to go back with her mother that showed us what a talented young actress Kiernan Shipka really is.
