Hollywood shows fierce symptoms of 3D Oversaturation Syndrome with Avatar fever still running high and plans unfolding to add a dimension to the Indiana Jones and Star Wars series — among others.
But amidst the dubious decisions and trend-hopping films, there are a few movies that could actually benefit from the 3D treatement. Here are but five of them:
Mad Max Beyond Thunderdome
Three words justifying Thunderdome’s spot on our list: Tina. Turner’s. Hair.
The Shining
Stanley Kubrick’s mind-melting magnum opus took blizzards and Johnny Carson to a whole new level of terror. Why not take them 3D?
The Labyrinth
The only thing that could make Goblin King Jareth’s Magic Dance more magical would be a third dimension.
Poltergeist
In case this classic horror flick didn’t breed enough childhood nightmares the first time around, surely a little 3D action could add to the terror.
FernGully: The Last Rainforest
Because you can’t forget the children.

I'm hoping for the 3D version of "My Dinner with Andre."
Superman and pretty much any other superhero film would look great in 3D. I agree with the horror pick, I get it would make them as scary as hell
