Last week, it was revealed that Alec Baldwin has been considering running for New York City mayor after Michael Bloomberg leaves office in 2013. For anyone who has ever watched an episode of 30 Rock, it’s pretty easy to picture the man behind Liz Lemon’s cohort and confidante as a politician. And so that got us thinking—what TV characters have what it takes to win an election?

Below are seven potential candidates for city mayor. Who would you vote for?

7. Nancy Botwin, Weeds

Why she’s a good candidate: At the start of the show, Nancy survived as a PTA soccer mom, so we know she has that fight in her. Over the seasons, the weed-selling widow has held her own among criminals and drug lords—all to support her children. Though some might frown upon her questionable tactics, Nancy has a strong heart and steadfast love for her family.
Campaign slogan: “I’m doing this for my family.”

6. Stewie Griffin, Family Guy

Why he’s a good candidate: “Good” is perhaps a loose term when describing Stewie running for election, but it would be hilarious nonetheless. The sociopath’s countless attempts at world domination show that he is ruthless in achieving power—running for mayor would only be the first step.
Campaign slogan: “Victory is mine!”

5. Sue Sylvester, Glee

Why she’s a good candidate: Our favorite tracksuit-wearing gym teacher we hate to love is, much like young Stewie, obsessed with power and sabotage. There’s no doubt Sue will try to bully and blackmail the other candidates to win the election. However, we’ve also seen Sue’s softer side in regards to her sister Jean, who has Down syndrome. This gives us hope that at least a portion of her platform will be devoted to advocating research for the condition.
Campaign slogan: “As Madonna once said, I’m tough, I’m ambitious and if that makes me a bitch, that’s what I am. Pretty sure she stole that line from Sue Sylvester. No, really. I said it first.”

4. Barney Stinson, How I Met Your Mother

Why he’s a good candidate: Barney’s powers of persuasion make an appearance in every HIMYM episode as he attempts to woo women. Add that to his suit collection, his exponential book of catchphrases, and his willingness to accept any challenge thrown his way, and this charmer’s a shoe-in.
Campaign slogan: “Suit Up!”

3. Ron Swanson, Parks & Recreation

Why he’s a good candidate: Because of this.
Campaign slogan: “Under my tutelage, you will grow from boys to men. From men into gladiators. And from gladiators into Swansons.”

2. Don Draper, Mad Men

Why he’s a good candidate: In 2009, Ask Men named Don Draper the most influential man in the world, and it’s no wonder—his charm, his good looks, and his eloquent speech make him hard to resist. Plus, it doesn’t hurt that he’s played by Jon Hamm.
Campaign slogan: “If you don’t like what’s being said, change the conversation.”

1. Jack Donaghy, 30 Rock

Why he’s a good candidate: Played by Alec Baldwin himself, Jack Donaghy embodies the perfect political candidate. He’s suave; he wears designer suits; he loves scotch; he’s partied with every major world leader; his favorite words are “negotiation,” “synergy” and “America.”
Campaign slogan: “I attended Harvard Business School where I was voted, ‘Most.’ I once hit a stand up triple off Fidel Castro. I was the first person ever to say, ‘I need a vacation from this vacation.’ The song ’You’re So Vain’ was in fact written…by me.”
