The Internet has given virtually anyone the ability to start their own show, from pre-pubescent suburban kids to A-list celebrities. While the amateur YouTube comedies are not without their charm, it’s always interesting to see what professional actors can do on a medium with a little more freedom than television.

Here are 10 shows getting big laughs on the net.

10. Red Band Trailer – Diablo Cody
For her web show, Juno screenwriter Diablo Cody crams fellow celebrities into a retro trailer for some casual conversation. Ms. Cody brings plenty of spunk to the series with games like “Tiki Ten” and “When did you say this thing?”

9. Road To The Altar – Jaleel White
Don’t remember Jaleel White? He’s the guy who played Steve Urkel, and his material is a little more adult these days. He’s got a show on the web in which he stars as a groom-to-be being followed around by a reality TV crew as he and his fiance prepare for their wedding.

8. Smart Girls at the Party – Amy Poehler
One part girl-power talk show and two parts wonderfully silly party, Poehler’s online series features young girls who are “changing the world by being themselves.”

7. Web Therapy – Lisa Kudrow
The former Friends star plays a not-so-helpful psychiatrist in her show. Kudrow’s character redesigns psychotherapy to better fit the 21st Century—by advising her patients over video chat.

6. Acting with James Franco – James Franco
The notoriously eccentric James Franco put together a few faux instructional acting videos for Funny or Die. With the help of little “Davey” Franco, the seasoned actor reveals all his movie-making secrets—but mostly just torments his brother.
