House's epic two-hour Season Six premiere, "Broken," wasn't just great television. It was great music. Dr. House, or Greg—as he's known in the mental ward—went through the worst of rehab to the strains of Radiohead's "No Surprises." Next came Iron & Wine with a cover of New Order's "Love Vigilante" and James Hunter with "No Smoke Without Fire." And the episode closed with The Frames' "Seven Day Mile." It's nice to know that TV shows don't have to feature spoiled adolescents or hot young doctors to get a great soundtrack these days. Kudos to Von Varga in the sound department and whoever did the music supervision.

House Season 6 Premiere Review

Oh my GOSH, I had to go to bed before the episode was over and record the rest, but now I cannot WAIT to hear the Frames close out the ep. I practically had a heart attack when I heard Iron & Wine.
You are so right! The music was fantastic! So fitting. Kudos to the sound and music people on that episode.
It was a great episode, and the music made it that much better. I almost swore I heard Stanton Moore's "Poison Pushy" during one of the parts. Might've been wrong, though. Any input?
Yeah Stanton Moore was definitely in there. One part had a track by Big Strides who are a cool new British band. And some Sly Stone I think. Good soundtrack!
please guys can someone tell what was the song played in the begining of the episode
There was also "Harmonia" by Cass McCombs.
Ohmigod! I missed the season premiere of House??? Thanks for the warning, Paste! I would have deleted it on my dvr (like I did to an episode of Top Gear)...
By the way, have you noticed the great music used on Top Gear?
Luved the season opener of House. It touched every emotion. We got to witness a different side of House. The music was also terrific. If anyone was disappointed, you need to watch it again.
Hey guys! Does anyone know, wat was the song, played on chello, by the almost mute girl?
Thx
All of the songs from this episode are listed on their official site.

To answer your cello question, Prelude from the Unaccompanied Cello Suite No. 1 in G Major, BWV 1007 (J.S. Bach)
They need to keep Braugher as a permanent part of the cast.

Yes, it was the prelude to the lst cello suite by Bach. But who actually played it? The performance was moving and really different from the one I have (Misha Maisky). This one had an amazing, deep sadness.
Please answer. It's been haunting me. I saw a re-run of the episode, and listened twice to Maisky, and they're almost two different pieces of music.
If it's a known cellist, I'd like to get her/his recordings. Thanks a lot.
That episode also featured Big Strides 'I Do Not Fear Jazz' which is a top rockin' tune!
Well, heard Stanton Moore's "Poison Pushy" during one of the parts. Might've been wrong, though. Any input, thanx.
