Today Paste Media Group announces, with deepest sadness, the suspension of the Paste magazine print product.
Struggles with mounting debt were made public last year when our readers responded with generosity to save the magazine. But the prolonged downturn of the ad market has forced a hiatus. All subscribers have access to the digital version of their magazines through the June/July issue on PasteMagazine.com. Paste, while considering strategic alternatives, is focusing on its digital assets, including PasteMagazine.com.
We thank all of those who have shown such tremendous support to a vision of independent media focused on Signs of Life in Music, Film & Culture, including subscribers, advertisers, writers, photographers, illustrators, publicists, record labels, movie studios, book & game publishers and others in the press.

Paste literally changed my life when I first picked up issue 12 in college. I'm deeply sad to hear this. My best to all the staff as they search for what's next for each of them.
Paste also changed my life. A misfit highschooler (hehe) you gave me hope that there are intelligent, thoughtful music lovers out there. I'll miss recieving the magazine every month, but I'll still visit the website every day. Good luck, Paste :)
This is terrible news. :(
Will subscribers be offered refunds of any kind?
Never heard of you...
Hi there. My wife just ordered me a physical subscription to your magazine last month. My first issue has not even been delivered yet. Will there be some sort of refund on the way?
Thanks,
Brian
Makes me ill that a respectable music, film, art and culture magazine can't find enough funding to stay afloat when at the same time Justin Bieber is selling out stadium shows. Here's to better days ahead PASTE, I will miss you in the bathroom reading rack!
Deeply saddened. Is the June/July issue the final print copy? Or will we get a farewell August/September issue (since it's already September; and I thought I saw a glimpse of the new issue with Joseph Gorden-Levitt)? I wish you a bright digital future.
All I can say is thank you. Thank you to all of the talented people who created and supported the best music magazine of alltime.
Please know that your magazine brightened our lives and always reminded us of the sings of life around us.
I hope that you will simply transition to a monthly digital issu. I'm sure that most subscribers will gladly do all we can to support you.
Paste means so much to us and we hope that this sad day will end up being the beginning of something even more special.
Best
Brian from California
PASTE,
Thank you for enriching my life with a great amount of quality art. This simple statement sums up the profound affect you have had on my life. I will continue to support you, lead friends to your website, and wish the best for your future.
@Bob - Exactly.
What?!?! This can't be happening! Paste is the only magazine I've subscribed to for years! Getting the magazine and sampler in the mail makes my month! Or if the magazine wants to keep bi-monthly, I'm happy with that just as long as I can get SOMETHING. Quarter monthly? I just can't handle Paste disappearing completely. I'm tearing up right now. I'd still visit the Paste site but it just isn't the same! I don't understand. I saw a Joseph Gordon-Levitt issue and was very excited for that! I saw info about Paste internships... I don't know how it could just one day disappear. I only got a couple issues out of my two year subscription.. I really don't have money to throw around if Paste isn't going to send me what I paid for. I'm unemployed right now. Paste was kind of an investment when I don't spend much on anything else. (I kind of complained that I only got one issue in a few months, but if that means the magazine is finished forever, I'll take that back!!) Advertising is mentioned as a cause, but to me, there is a lot more advertising than there was in the earlier years. Does this mean there is absolutely no chance that Paste will be in print ever? Paste magazine is one of the few things I have to look forward to so this is very very sad. What if you had another Save Paste donation? All the writers at Paste - I was always amazed that anyone out there shared my tastes in music, books, movies, video games, culture, everything else...featured a bunch amazing of things I wouldn't have heard of. Paste was incredible and ONE OF A KIND and NECESSARY. Paste DID always feature the signs of life and as someone mentioned, I feel I won't get that news anymore. I'll be left with the Justin Beibers.
DEEPLY sorry to hear it.
Paste is the best music magazine out there, and has been as far as I can remember. Signs of Life, indeed.
Many, many thanks.
Blessing to all of the Paste staff as you transition to what's next.
I hope you offer a digital subscription in the near future.
Stay strong, folks. I am going to miss the printed publication but I hope Paste online will stay with us. This is just too good to lose.
Not to mention I often times said "I'm so thankful for these awesome Paste samplers". I'm a poor broke girl! Sometimes the only new music I got in a month were the Paste samplers! There goes my sanity as well as this magazine.
I can't even read the issue I just got without being sad that this magazine is no longer. I feel like a person died. Sheesh. I just don't understand how a magazine that was even planning a tour could just stop. How about the writers of Paste come up with a list of their other favorite magazines, so I can get an idea of ANY decent magazine to subscribe to. Not like any of them could replace Paste.
I'm refusing to read the things on the site, still hoping they will be in the next print issue (which I did before Paste stopped printing anyway, but oh well.)
Sad to hear this news

HI,
I had to comment on this issue, I love to flip through a good magazine, sitting at the table or curled up on a nice cozy chair with a hot cup of tea is nothing like the cold hard screen of the laptop.
Keep the mags going...

If feels like the friend died that told me about all the stuff I would love if I knew it existed.
I can not seem to get the Haiti download. Is this still possible. And, are you suspending the eversion of the monthly downloads?
I'm really bummed. But I don't want a refund. Keep it to pay your debts. The monthly sampler was my radio - Paste was my only good source of new music. Worth more than you charged.
The newest VIP bonus albums - Brighter Things and Andy Shauf -, could someone please add download links for those? We can listen, but can't download - there are no album download links! I'd consider that fair comp for balance of my subscription.
Best thing about Paste, to me, has been the actual music. If you can keep providing samplers, even only as downloads, I'll keep paying & visiting the site. The VIP bonus albums are fantastic. But please - can you add links for those two VIP albums that are already up there?? THANKS for all the new music you've introduced me to. I've been with you since #15.
I still can't figure out if the digital edition is available for subscription, would love to give it as a gift (again). Anyone have any info?
Paste sucks. Their customer service number never picks up, and when you try to leave a message in their general voicemail box, its always full.
I've been trying to get a refund for months, emailing them as told to get a prompt response. Absolutely no response.
Pathetic.
Okay...so the magazine in print forum is gone...
But can we not still continue with an online version subscription and downloads of samplers...This is the way I believe ...I have several iPad subscriptions and I am most happy going paperless...just awesome...no more garbage and no more trees to cut down...just no more waste
But I do want my Paste and Sampler...I can add a big subscription to help out. Let me know please.
I've been trying customer service via phone and email since this news came out with zero success, and it's very frustrating. I've loved this magazine and will gladly keep paying for sampler downloads and even minimal online content (new music reviews, etc.). I just can't get anyone to write or call me back to say if that's even a possibility. Instead of having 100% positive feelings about this magazine that's given me so much joy over the years, I'm left a little pissed off (which I can't imagine is how they want to go out).
Wow, just found this. I too was left in the dark and I had just paid to subscribe in July through a third party. I thought I got screwed from the third party. Now I'm finding this... Paid for a full year and only got one issue. Thanks!
