Paste Editor-in-Chief Josh Jackson Named to min Magazine’s “21 Most Intriguing”

“Erudite, insightful and lively - yet rarely as stuck in the past as what you find in the venerable Mojo, nor as enrapt with going trends, as with Rolling Stone - Paste has come to rank with the best bathroom reads around, a crucial (and gratefully non-corporate) complement to the Entertainment Weeklys of the world.” - The Orange County Register

Decatur, GA (November 27, 2007) - The editors of min magazine announced their annual “21 Most Intriguing” list, and among those included was Paste magazine Editor-in-Chief Josh Jackson.  The annual list, which recognizes the most creative and dynamic people in publishing, also includes such notables as Cliff Sloan, Publisher, Slate.com and David Granger, Editor-in-Chief, Esquire.

“Paste has really turned a corner this year by doing exactly what they set out to do, which is appeal to a mainstream audience, while offering content that is often times somewhat daring and different,” said Jeremy Greenfield, Editor, min magazine.  “And they continue to innovate by listening to their core audience.  Example: the pay what you want subscription program a la Radiohead’s In Rainbows.  In this age of new and new new media, Paste is keeping it fresh in a category that has become a bit stale.”

Inclusion in the min magazine list is the latest honor bestowed upon the 5-year-old arts publication.  Recently, Paste was nominated yet again for “Magazine of the Year” at the 2008 PLUG Awards (Paste won the award in 2007 and 2006).  And earlier this year, Paste won the Grand GAMMA Award (along with 5 other awards) at the 18th Annual GAMMA Awards.

“We’re thrilled to be recognized by min and to be included in the company of some of the industry’s leading brands,” explained Josh Jackson, Editor-in-Chief, Paste magazine.  “What we’re doing at Paste is just following our passion and trying to make a magazine that we’d want to read.  This kind of recognition affirms that there are others out there like us who share our love for great music, film and culture.”
