While it was reported on Hollywood insider site The Tracking Board (and repeated here) that Darren Aronofsky had signed on with The Weinstein Company to direct Get Happy, the upcoming Judy Garland biopic, he’s denied the news, tweeting “Judy Garland story is not true.” While his Twitter account is not verified, the Huffington Post says it’s confirmed with Aronofsky’s publicist that it indeed is the director Tweeting from that account.
