Script in the Works for Arrested Development Movie
Since the show's nigh-criminal cancellation in 2006 (unfortunately, the Supreme Court refused to even hear our case), speculation on a possible film version of Arrested Development has been running for nearly as long as the series was on television. There's been some reassuring words from series creator Mitch Hurwitz and various cast members, but with each bit of good news came word of an actor holdout or production snafu.... read more

The Office still has its moments. Modern Family shows some promise. And 30 Rock is coming back in October. But since it went off the air in 2006, no sitcom has made me laugh as much as Arrested Development. The movie may or may not happen sometime before Michael Cera starts getting adult roles, but we'll always have these three perfect seasons. And right now we've got two of them on Hulu. Here are 10 clips to help explain our obsession with this show. ... read more

They say the pen is mightier than the sword. If that's the case, David Cross's pen is mightier than a lightsaber or a railgun. The veteran stand-up comic has been using his sardonic wit to poke at society's sacred cows ever since he burst onto the L.A. comedy scene in the early '90s. Sacred or profane, it's all fair game to him. So, in honor of Cross's new book (and tour): here are but a few of his finest moments to date:... read more

I graduated from elementary school in June of 1990. Almost immediately after, my Dad—who worked for Digital Computers—switched from manufacturing to sales, and my family moved from Marlboro, Mass., to Alpharetta, Ga. I'd already gotten into a little bit of rap music while I was still in New England, listening to more poppy stuff like DJ Jazzy Jeff & the Fresh Prince, Tone Loc, Young MC, LL Cool J, and even a little Digital Underground. But when I got to Georgia and started at Taylor Road Middle School (which I attended from August 1990 to June 1993), I met some new... read more

As far as sitcoms go, we like to think it's fairly uncontroversial to say that Arrested Development is the best of the last few decades. So while obsessives are screaming "COME ON!" for the movie to get rolling, some super fans have decided to craft an Arrested Development movie of their own: a cross-country documentary exploring the genius of the Bluth Family and the fan culture that sprung up around it.... read more
