Last night, John Krasinski hit the Late Night stage to promote the final two episodes of The Office, and while he was there he took part in an epic lip-sync battle with Jimmy Fallon. The two took turns miming the likes of Boys II Men, Katy Perry and Run-D.M.C., and Fallon goes ham on 1984 Star Search champion Sam Harris’ rendition of “Somewhere Over The Rainbow.” Faces are pulled. In the fake trailer for Kart, created by Dr. Coolsex Comedy, Mario takes over the role of the Driver (famously portrayed by Ryan Gosling in the film) and joining him are Princess Peach (stepping into Carey Mulligan’s shoes), Bowser, Luigi, Toad, Waluigi and Wario. While the mashup may be a little late—Drive was released in 2011—it nevertheless offers both a new and nostalgic spin on the cinematic masterpiece.
