Death Cab begins new album in earnest
The road to a completed album is one fraught with peril, especially when you’re a band as intensely beloved as Death Cab for Cutie. Ben Gibbard and Co. have only just finished pre-production on their new album, but Billboard and our good chums over at Pitchfork.com are already draped all over the band, trying to extract as many slivers of information as they can for its rabid fanbase. The band's current album, Transatlanticism, along with its back catalog and an upcoming live EP—set for release early spring 2005—will stay on Barsuk Records.
