Wilco Jams with Mavis Staples and Nick Lowe

Wilco Jams with Mavis Staples and Nick Lowe

“Tweeeday,” as veteran soul singer Mavis Staples calls him, has been on a roll the past few months. The Wilco lead singer has gone viral recently from announcing the weather on local Chicago television station WGN-TV and covering The Black Eyed Peas’ “I Gotta Feeling” and “My Humps” at Dan Sinker’s book release party. Check it out on WGN-TV’s website....  read more

In a video posted by Time Out Chicago, Jeff Tweedy of Wilco covers the Black Eyed Peas’ “I Gotta Feeling,” and he approaches it with the enthusiasm and comfort level of someone passing a kidney stone. The tongue-in-cheek version is hysterical, especially with Tweedy prodding the audience to participate with lines like, “’Tonight’s the night.’ You don’t...  read more
