As ClashMusic points out, the guitar that Radiohead guitarist Ed O’ Brien used almost exclusively during the recording of the albums Kid A and Amnesiac is up for auction on eBay. The auction is part of a fundraiser for the Billie Butterfly Fund, a charity to raise funds for Billie Bainbridge, who was diagnosed with an inoperable form of brain stem cancer. Bainbridge’s mother, Terri, also has breast cancer. read more

The event was held at London's Boiler Room, a small club/performance space owned by London-based online magazine Platform that features weekly shows by popular DJs from the UK's underground electronic scene and the occasional live act. Sets are streamed live and offered as downloadable podcasts. read more
