The xx has announced “Chained” as the second single off their critically acclaimed sophomore effort, Coexist, and now the band has released the accompanying video. The video, directed by Young Replicant in conjunction with The Creators Project, refrains from going overboard in the imagery so as to not take away from the minimalist sound. It makes frequent use of slow motion to capture band members diving into the water and the changing weather patterns, all the while presenting the viewer with beautiful cinematography.
