Conduit 2 Review (Wii)

Conduit 2 Review (Wii)

The Conduit was about a conspiracy between aliens and the founders of the American state, discovered inadvertently by a Secret Service agent who had presumed to be fighting off a terrorist group. Surprisingly, the aliens were developed and reproduced on earth by John Adams and then sent out to conquer human civilization through conduits that enable transport between far-flung locations. Conduit 2 is about more of this kind of thing, deepening the conspiracy by adding Progenitors, ancient beings that once controlled human kind and whose strength needs to now be absorbed into a mechanical orb in order to stop John... read more

By contrast, Mario Sports Mix seems like a rogue's gallery of events deemed unworthy of such attention, as these cartoonish takes on basketball, hockey, dodgeball, and volleyball feel less essential, despite occasional bouts of enjoyment in the package.... read more

"The Wii Plays" Presents Videogames, Adapted to the Stage

For many there remains a stubborn and irrational fear of looking at the common roots videogames share with other art forms. Call it a lingering inadequacy complex—an anxiety over being seen as inadequate when the creative scope is widened from fun and quirk to issues of love, identity, moral dilemma, and death anxiety. These have been the emotional fixations of art yet they’re subjects videogames remain hesitant to address.... read more
