BBC to Adapt Leo Tolstoy's <i>War & Peace</i> as Six-Part Miniseries

British television writer Andrew Davies is no stranger when it comes to adapting classic works. The 76-year-old veteran of British television is already behind such esteemed productions as 1995’s Pride and Prejudice, 1998’s Vanity Fair, 2008’s Sense and Sensibility, the 2008 film version of Brideshead Revisited and the original BBC adaptation of House of Cards. Davies may now add Leo Tolstoy’s masterpiece War and Peace to his already impressive resume.
