Aaron Sorkin Courted to Write Steve Jobs Screenplay
The L.A. times is reporting that the Academy Award-winning screenwriter Aaron Sorkin is being courted to write the script for the upcoming Steve Jobs biopic. According to Deadline, Sony Pictures is in the process acquiring the film rights to Walter Isaacson's upcoming authorized Steve Jobs biography. If the negotiations go smoothly, Mark Gordon (who previously financed Saving Private Ryan and Wonder Boys) will be the producer of the biopic. The studio seems like a good choice to handle the material considering both last year's The Social Network and this year's Moneyball (both Sony Pictures films) have garnered widespread critical acclaim. read more
