Baby 81, the fourth album from Black Rebel Motorcycle Club, will be released May 1st on RCA. After 2005’s journey into Americana on Howl, the new release marks some transitioning back towards their earlier, thrashier style. It opens with a song taken from a two-year-old session and ends with one Peter Hayes wrote in his late teens on strings and xylophone. Baby 81 also shows B.R.M.C. might be growing up and growing more concerned about social issues than motorcycles.
