Relive Your Favorite Arrested Development Lines Through Breaking Bad

Relive Your Favorite Arrested Development Lines Through Breaking Bad

Everyone’s favorite drug-fueled drama and canceled (soon-to-be revived!) sitcom have finally crossed paths on the Internet. Both a testament to the versatility of Breaking Bad‘s acting and the quality of Arrested Development’s writing, this “television mashup” takes some of the best still shots of scenes from the former and captions them with witty lines from the latter. This mashup blog, titled “Breaking Development,” isn’t the first Arrested Development-themed TV mashup that’s been created, but it is the most consistently effective (and hilarious). Check out a slideshow of highlights here via Uproxx.... read more

Breaking Bad Review: "Face Off" (Episode 4.13)

Breaking Bad Review: "Face Off" (Episode 4.13)

One of the reasons Breaking Bad is considered one of the best dramas on TV right now (and I have a feeling that it will be soon ranked among the all-time greats), is that the writers do a phenomenal job introducing complex themes, plot lines and ideas, and they somehow manage to weave them all together for an extremely satisfying conclusion. It's not an easy thing to do, especially when the show asks the audience to hold on until the end to see where it's all going. read more

Breaking Bad Review - "End Times" (Episode 4.12)

“Skyler, I have lived under the threat of death for a year now, and because of that, I’ve made choices. Listen to me. I alone, should suffer the consequence of those choices. No one else. And those consequences, they are coming. No more prolonging the inevitable.” read more

Breaking Bad Review: "Crawl Space" (Episode 4.11)

Breaking Bad Review: "Crawl Space" (Episode 4.11)

One of the things Breaking Bad has always been great at doing is making its audience feel uncomfortable. And more so than previous seasons, season four has really pushed the limits of what we can endure. It’s been frustrating, exhausting, and in many ways suffocating. Usually the premiere of the season gives us an indication of what to expect, and now that the season is coming to an end, it’s become more clear. You see, when Gustavo Fring made Walt and Jesse wait around all day to finally confront them in “Box Cutter,” it was to send a message of... read more

Breaking Bad Review: "Salud" (Episode 4.10)

Breaking Bad Review: "Salud" (Episode 4.10)

“There’s no place for emotion in this. You of all people should understand. Business is business,” says Don Eladio to Gustavo Fring. This is an important notion, and what has always separated Gus and Walter White from the rest in Vince Gilligan’s criminal world—they get emotional. Up until this season, we didn’t know this of Gus. He was always so elusive and professional that we assumed he operated on a similar level of coldness that blocked out emotion. But as “Hermanos” showed us this season, much of Gus’ decision to cut off ties with the cartel and start a war... read more

Breaking Bad Review: "Bug" (Episode 4.09)

Breaking Bad Review: "Bug" (Episode 4.09)

In interviews leading up to the premiere of season four, Vince Gilligan stated that his goal was to transform Walter White from Mr. Chips to Scarface. This made sense, as the general view among fans has been that Walt would more than likely see his world crumble around him at some point before the end. This has always been a safe assumption as well, because Vince shapes his Breaking Bad world with a sort of cosmic karma. For every action, there is a reaction or a consequence. And up to this point, Walt has been one to often make decisions... read more
