Arcade Fire, Lady Gaga, Soundgarden, The Strokes and Green Day to Headline Lollapalooza 2010?
[Photo by Mark C. Austin] It’s been just three years since a then-unknown Lady Gaga played a small show at 2007’s Lollapalooza festival, but it looks like this year, the Lady will be bringing the heavy synth and crazy costumes to the main stage as one of Lollapalooza’s headliners. The Chicago Tribune reports that Gaga is in talks to head the festival, along with Arcade Fire, The Strokes, Green Day and a reunited Soundgarden.... read more

There are many signals that usher in the changing of the seasons (celestial equinoxes, changing sleeve lengths, authoritative groundhogs), but the big tell will always be the absence or presence of outdoor exercisers. Here at Paste, we can tell it's springtime, not from the pollen that covers Atlanta in a frustrating yellow layer, but rather the spandex-clad runners who fill the sidewalks and our side-view mirrors. Atlantan runners, joggers and walkers serve a dual purpose: They remind us that the chill is over and that it's never to late to start that New Year's resolution. Then again, they could just... read more

Courtesy of Jeremy Farmer)The buzz and short attention spans I spoke of in Day One, and the newfound diversity heralded in Day Two, these things imploded upon each other the final hours of Sunday, with one holy rockness middle ground rising up from the rubble. The moment can be pinpointed actually, if you were to witness Les Savy Fav’s punk-maestro, Tim Harrington, careen his bald dome into a city garbage can, demanding the crowd hoist him, and his new stage, into the air so he could finish his song.Post-set comment from a fan:Dude wanted up,... read more

What a difference a year can make. Last summer, the Black Kids were a well-received, little-known indie outfit from Florida. Then, last August, they played PopFest in Athens, Ga., and blew critics and festival go-ers away with their performance. Now, the Black Kids have signed to Columbia and are amidst a late-spring tour with the Aussies of Cut Copy. They'll be traveling throughout North America, informing folks that they still won't teach your boyfriend how to dance, much to the dismay of many American and Canadian women. Check out the video below: We wouldn't underestimate their charm (again): May: 6... read more
