According to his website, neo-psychedelic folkie Devendra Banhart will be taking to the sea to record a new album in late September. The album, to be recorded both on land and on a rental boat in California and Rio de Janeiro, is currently going by the tentative title of Smokey, although that will likely be the name of the film accompanying the album.
