Edie Brickell's keyboardist killed
New Bohemians keyboardist Jeffrey Carter Albrecht was shot and killed early Monday morning, according to Dallas police. The 34-year-old Albrecht attempted to kick in the door of the apartment next to his girlfriend's, said Dallas police department spokesperson Sgt. Gil Cerda. The neighbor, believing Albrecht to be a burglar, fired through the door. Albrecht died of his wounds at the scene. Pop-rockers Edie Brickell & New Bohemians are set to release Stranger Things on July 25, almost 16 years after their last studio album, 1990's Ghost of a Dog. Although Brickell & co. have picked up a new member – keyboardist Carter Albrecht – fans can still expect the same folksy pop sound for which the band is known.
