Fucked Up Releases New Singles, New Music Video

It's been a busy, busy year for Fucked Up. Not only have they released a full-length concept album, David Comes to Life, and a Record Store Day-exclusive companion piece David's Town, but now they're preparing to unleash two new singles. Fucked Up to Headline Bruise Cruise, Release Free Track

Canada's eclectic punk rock ensemble Fucked Up was recently announced as the headlining act on the befittingly-named Bruise Cruise, a cruise ship festival that sets sail from Miami to the Bahamas on Feb. 10-13 that will also include King Khan and Thee Oh Sees, among others. For the event, lead singer Damian Abraham has even been appointed the vague position of "cruise director."  read more

If you’ve heard of this, it’s probably because you heard Fucked Up guitarist Ben Cook is a part of it. That much is true. Depending on what websites you read, you may have also heard that this band, Marvelous Darlings, brandishes “Yellow Pills-worthy hooks shot through with an extra dose of snottiness” or is “killer shit” that “walks the lines between garage, powerpop, and punk.” That last statement is true, about the line-walking, but the hooks are largely absent, and that’s a major problem.
