Gorillaz Go Bananas With New Merch
Gorillaz, the animated sapien super group from the imaginations of Damon Albarn, Dan Nakamura, Jamie Hewlett and Miho Hatori, is set to release a slew of new promotional merchandise as part of their Demon Days multimedia experience, which began with their 2005 sophomore album of the same name. In what is possibly the first set of shows organized in tribute to a cartoon band, Gorillaz: Demon Days Live will be held at the Manchester Opera House from Nov. 1 through Nov. 5. The event, which is the first of the Manchester International Festival, sold out within hours of going on sale this past Monday. Gorillaz producers Damon Albarn and Danger Mouse recently hosted a special advance listening party for new Gorillaz album,Demon Days, at SXSW. Gorillaz are also granting their first-ever full-band sit-down interviews with MTV News, FUSE and other outlets, which will air closer to the album’s release.
