Green Day Debuts Winehouse Tribute Song
During their show last week in California, Green Day not only premiered new music, but also played a tribute song for Amy Winehouse simply titled, “Amy.” The track is stripped down and the lyrics are presented as a letter to Winehouse herself. Just when you thought Billie Joe Armstrong was done working with material from his 2004 Green Day release American Idiot, he’s back with more. Turns out the Green Day lead singer is set to star in the feature length film version of the album, according to NME.
