Inside Men Review: "Episode 1.04"
For the first three episodes of Inside Men’s four episode run, the show told us the story of three very different men executing one big crime. Inside Men showed us the slow and steady changes of this trio over the course of a few months. In this penultimate episode of Inside Men, Marcus is given the task to purchase masks for the robbery that will be going down in a few months. It seems like television in the last decade or so has decided to favor the downtrodden, quiet, unassuming characters looking for something more. Those characters whose demeanor is silent, yet inside rages an uncertainty, the darkness bubbling to the surface. Take for instance, Dexter or science teacher-turned-meth lord Walter White on Breaking Bad. These are people tired of getting kicked aside, pushed around, sick of the bullshit. BBC’s newest miniseries Inside Men, features three such characters fed up with the way that life has treated them thus far and decide to do something about it. read more
