I spent most of last week in Montreal, and I’ll soon be blogging about Schwartz’s, poutine, graffiti, an amazing beer bar and, most importantly, the M for Montreal festival. Like Sir Paul McCartney and Lord Sonic Youth, Joni Mitchell is down with Starbucks Entertainment. The Grammy-award winning, self-portrait painting, ballet-advising artist has signed a two-album deal with the coffee-monger’s Hear Music label, bringing a sudden end to her 2002 retirement from songwriting.
