Watch the Video for Kate Bush's "Misty"

Just before Thanksgiving, English singer-songwriter Kate Bush revealed the second animated short that accompanies a song from her most recent album 50 Words for Snow, which was released earlier this month on Nov. 21. This latest video uses a segment of the track “Misty,” a lilting, 13-minute song about an affair with a snowman. Fittingly, the stop-motion animation depicts just such a liaison with the snowman melting in his lover’s bed. “Mistraldespair” was directed by Kate Bush herself with animation by Gary Pureton. As Pitchfork points out, Kate Bush’s new single is now available to listen to on YouTube, and you’ll be able to purchase it online tomorrow. “Wild Man” is a mellowed out track from the upcoming 50 Words for Snow, which has a Nov. 21 release and will feature guest spots from Elton John and Stephen Fry. The album has seven tracks, but clocks in at a whopping 65 minutes.   read more
