Deerhoof Releases Music Video, Streams New Album
Deerhoof has just released the music video for “Super Duper Rescue Heads!” from their forthcoming album Deerhoof vs. Evil (via Pitchfork), which we recently named one of the Ten January Albums Worth Checking Out. The band has been leaking the album around the world one track at a time through various media outlets leading up to a Jan. 25 release date. Corinne Bailey Rae is kicking off her first North American tour in three years, and the Grammy winner is using many of the shows as an opportunity to give back. The first show of the tour is a benefit concert for KCRW, a public radio station based in Santa Monica, Calif. The April dates in Seattle and Portland will donate proceeds to RED, benefitting the Global Fund, an organization that finances the fight against AIDS, tuberculosis and malaria. Now that the dust-up with Sonicbids is taken care of, CMJ 2008 looks like it'll once again be one of the biggest and best music festivals in the U.S. this year.
