New details emerge in Linda Stein case
The more we learn about the death of star New York City real estate broker and former Ramones manager Linda Stein, the seedier things seem to get. A couple of months ago Paste reported on the arrest of Stein's personal assistant Natavia Lowery in connection of murder. Since then, things have gotten downright nasty. Billboard.com reports that police have arrested Linda Stein's personal assistant in connection with Stein's murder last week. Charges are pending against Natavia Lowery, whom police say "made statements implicating herself" in Stein's fatal beating. As The New York Daily News reported on Wednesday, police were interested in re-interviewing Lowery, the last person to see Stein alive. Lowery had previously been arrested on misdemeanor charges for identity theft and petty larceny, according to the Daily News. Tragedy continues to haunt the Ramones family. After the deaths of the band's three core members earlier this decade, the group's manager has been found murdered in her Manhattan apartment. This Tuesday, Linda Stein, 62, was discovered in a pool of blood by her daughter. Stein's body had suffered blows to the head and neck. EMS pronounced her DOA when they arrived on the scene.
