Coachella Valley Music & Arts Festival is one of the biggest live music events in the country, growing so large that in recent years the festival has expanded to two weekends of genre-crossing musical innovation and constant surprises. Having just finished a tour of Australia and Japan, Dirty Projectors flew in to Los Angeles to play the Troubadour in West Hollywood on Tuesday, February 5. The venue, with a capacity of about 400, provided an intimate setting for the band; a rarity with the success they have achieved with recent releases, particularly last year’s Swing Lo Magellan. The set balanced much of their last album with highlights from records past.
