The Lost series finale airing this Sunday is getting lots of special treatment. Networks in Europe and Israel have agreed to sync their broadcast of the episode with the U.S. air time, and even though episodes that run for more than two hours aren’t typically eligible for Emmys, the Academy of Television Arts & Sciences Board of Governors is bending the rule for the two-and-a-half hour long finale. Lost producers Carlton Cuse and Damon Lindelof were recently surprised with a letter of encouragement and advice from none other than Star Wars creator, George Lucas.
