The remaining half of the Louvin Brothers, Charlie Louvin, will put out a self-titled album on Tompkins Square Records February 20, 2007. Collaborators include Jeff Tweedy, Kurt Wagner, Mac McCaughan, Eef Barzelay, Will Oldham, Elvis Costello and George Jones. These bastions of contemporary music will perform Louvin Brothers material as well as songs by the Monroe Brothers, Jimmie Rodgers and the Carter Family.
